Outstanding place as always. My family and I tried the BBQ last year and we loved it. This year my friends and I are riding to Sturgis and I recommended this place. Well, they loved it. Chris "Tiny" and all staff are outstanding. Thank you guys.

Quite possibly the best BBQ place I've ever been. The ribs are seriously the best I've ever tasted. IF YOU GET ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE RIBS, YOU ARE CRAZY! Also, the corn is very fresh tasting. So delicious! Also, Gabe was a great, attentive server.

I have been here twice. The first time was a couple years back and I was thrilled of the place. This most recent visit, my wife and I went here to celebrate my birthday and we both got a two-piece combo meal (a lot of food). As always, my wife and I split our food. We got a sausage link, rib tips, pulled pork, and beef brisket. The pulled pork was the only meat item that tasted halfway descent. Our sides were a complete joke! The garlic mash potatoes has no flavor to them...very very bland and the beans were just okay. We didn't bother to eat the corn, because it looked dried out and the fries were just okay as well. To Famous Dave's credit, the corn muffin tasted good. This place was not how I remembered it...the food quality has gone way down and I will never be back again.

First of all, the thing that stood out most to me at Famous Dave's was the service! Our waiter was a riot. He had every table laughing and was awesome! The food was also delicious! I wasn't in the mood for ribs so I stuck with the chicken tender meal for the night. I got seven huge strips! So much food. I also got to choose from two sides so I went with the potato salad and mashed potatoes. I'm a sucker for sides and these were the star of the show! They were so delicious! Even my friend couldn't stop sneaking bites of my potato salad! They put all the bbq sauces on the table but my favorite is the rich and sassy. I'm more of a mild sauce kind of person. But if you're feeling adventurous, they've got plenty of spicy options!

Everyone feels like they're treated like they're famous at Famous Dave's...except when the check comes. We were sat immediately and had Famous Irene as our server. The lunch prices were very reasonable. The food options were all tasty. BBQ chicken, mashers, corn bread, mac and cheese; not a bad item ingested. The Devil's Spit wing sauce wasn't as hot as I expected, but it was also tasty. Irene and the hostess were friendly and accommodating. The decor was fun, but a bit tacky. I highly recommend Famous Dave's. It was no wonder why they have the highest score in Grand Junction. I wish there was one closer to home.

This is my favorite BBQ place in Grand Junction! The servers are very friendly. Food is awe. My favorite sauce is the Sweet and Zesty. Simply the best!!

Our waiter was HUGE... 6'9" and had a sense of humor to match. The BBQ was good, chain store BBQ. the draw to this store is the service.

Way to go Famous Dave's! The new GM is amazing. Can't wait to see what she brings to this restaurant. The food has already improved. That is a testament to the new leadership. Im a renewed fan.

I don't remember our waitresses name but she was an older Asian woman and she was absolutely amazing! She drew a pig on a plate for us to taste all the different barbecues was some chips. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had at famous Dave's. And every time I go to Grand Junction I will be going at famous Dave's just to see if I can get the same waitress again. If I could've left her $50 I would have.

Hey, you want BBQ in Grand Junction? This is where you go. I've been here a few times and have always been pleased with the food quality, fairly large portions for the price, and friendly service. I love having 5 different sauces on the table as well. Makes me feel like I control my own BBQ destiny. Happy hour, you say? 3-6 and 8 till close on weekdays and all day on weekends. A shoutout to Randalyn, (sorry if I spelled that wrong), who is the friendly and attentive bar tender. She does a great job. Last time I was there maybe the hostess was having a bad day. No smile, no "welcome to Famous Dave's", and no "have a good night" as we left. Gotta make the people feel like you want them there!

I'm not a huge fan of large portions of meat. Never have been, never will be. However if the bf or fam is craving meat, I'm happy to come here with them. Service is always prompt and very friendly (I really appreciate little things like how they boxed my extra food up for me). Don't come here if you're dieting though. Like, I wanted soup and salad one time, and their "soup" was basically potato chunks covered in cheesy gravy stuff. Delicious! - but not the light broth-y stuff I was wanting lol. To be fair, they have some lighter entree sides, like collard greens and grilled pineapple. Also, a good value for your money. Almost always get two meals out of an entree. Corn muffins are tasty. For a chain, this place is great.

Not the best bbq in town but has the most variety to its menu and really feels and tastes like my family's bbq

We happened to see this place on our drive to Grand Junction, so decided to make a stop here. The hostess and waitress were friendly. We ordered the full rack of ribs, which was definitely enough for two. Meat was tender and easily came off the bone. I like the smaller pieces because the cartilage was softer and easier to chew. The marinade on the meat is good enough to stand alone, but they had all these sauces for us to try, and how can we say no to that? Our order definitely filled me up, but since it's so good, I wanted more. Although I'm glad I didn't' order another half rack or else I'd have to be rolled out of the restaurant.

You can't beat their happy hour. All day on weekends and after 8 every other night...drink specials are good and food is dirt cheap. I mean like $2-5 cheap. I can take four kids to eat there and my husband gets a pitcher of beer and the bill is under $30 as long as we eat in the bar area. Service is always great and friendly.

The food here is consistently great. I love the oversized selection of BBQ meals and the happy hours are incredible! I am not a fan of fast food or chain restaurants particularly, but Dave's is great. I ordered the Texas Man-handler sandwich. Combined with the BBQ and hot sauces, can't go wrong!

Yuck!! I had to create a Yelp account just to complain about this place. The food literally reminded me of elementary school cafeteria food... but way more expensive. I rolled into Grand Junction and had missed lunch and dinner from traveling. I was starving and since BBQ is my fav. food I hit up FD. Big mistake! I just wanted take out, but they made me sit at the bar while they prepared my meal. It is a dine-in place but after 5 mins they brought me my food that was obviously sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I paid nearly $20 for the worst BBQ I have ever had... couldn't finish anything on my plate but the cornbread. Not sure if all Famous Dave's are like this one. I guess I'll never know. I am still skeptical that was really beef and pork I ate.

Not horrible, but not fantastic either. Burgers are good and the bbq is okay. The sauces are tasty, especially devil's spit. Just an average BBQ place.

Ok, sums up the place, ok food, ok service, and I will be ok going elsewhere to eat. If you do go there get a burger it is better then the BBQ. Also there BBQ sauces range from ok to have a drink ready to wash down the yuck.

The perfect pit stop between Las Vegas and Denver. Driving from Las Vegas early Friday morning, we arrived late afternoon right during happy hour. The rib's are very very good. The baby back ribs were amazing, smokey, tender, and full of flavor. The rib tips are on the happy hour menu. You get about a dozen smokey rib tips and a basket of perfectly crisp steak fries...all for $4, what a steal! The wings were on the happy hour menu for $4 too but they were a little too thin and boney; I would not recommend ordering them. The beef brisk was good but forgettable. Make sure to try all the different sauces. I'm definitely stopping here on the way back to Las Vegas.

Food and service is always great, only complaint I have is...well I have none now that I think about it. This is the only place where I look forward to the food served on a metal trashcan lid

I like Famous Dave's. I have eaten in the one in Colorado Springs, the one in Layton, Utah, and now the one in Grand Junction. Every time has been a very good experience. I had the brisket salad for a change of pace. It was very tasty. The brisket was delicious. The salad was cold and well garnished. The mustard barbeque dressing was very good, but they put just a bit too much on the salad. I should have ordered it on the side. The food was a bit slow. The waiter came and applogized and then the manager came out and explained why it was taking longer than normal. We were not in a hurry, so it wasn't a big deal, but it was a nice touch anyway.

I've been going with my kids since they opened. When my daughter was little, because of the sign and the logo, she called it "Piggy Joe's" and that name has stuck for us. It's fun and noisy and it's cute that they serve the big platters on a garbage can lid, but the prices seem a little steep, and I prefer a place that's not so kitschy and obviously a chain. Now that I've discovered Zack's in Hotchkiss, I probably won't be going back very often.

We've been to Famous Dave's twice and I've concluded the only thing he's famous for is the amount of salt used in the recipes. BBQ is not health food, I know, but paying $15 for ribs that are so salty they're inedible is not my idea of comfort food. The "sides" served up with the salty meats are OK (cole slaw is darned good), but they can't make up for the bad prep work in the kitchen.
